Fujitsu, Microsoft reveal global partnership for sustainability transformation

Fujitsu Limited and Microsoft Corporation have reportedly disclosed a five-year strategic partnership for significantly expanding their existing collaboration.

This agreement, which comprises investment from both businesses to support the growth of the multibillion-dollar Uvance business of Fujitsu, deploys Microsoft Cloud and other leading technologies for digitally transforming the way businesses worldwide create more sustainable practices and solutions to meet the societal needs for opening new opportunities for business expansion.

Together, the two firms will offer more organizations the power to respond quickly to the environmental changes. This is expected to transform how hospitals are running to improve patient experiences to offer more stability to supply chain issues.

Sources further confirm that Fujitsu has named Microsoft as the premier Cloud Partner as part of this collaboration, the details of which were revealed in a recent Fujitsu briefing to investors.

Apparently, the two businesses will also jointly create and market advanced Fujitsu Uvance solutions combining Microsoft’s innovative cloud platforms, such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, and Viva with Fujitsu’s expertise across the manufacturing, retail, and healthcare industries.

The companies will drive the joint go-to-market activities as well as deliver innovative solutions for responding to the customers’ needs whilst accelerating the business growth.

Fujitsu is also collaborating with Microsoft for delivering skilling initiatives to facilitate cloud sales as well as engineering training and certification to 28,000 employees in the next five years in all Fujitsu regions.  These include all solution areas across Japan, Asia, Europe, and Americas and Microsoft Cloud for Industries.

It is also worth noting that this global partnership will additionally fuel Fujitsu’s mission of helping organizations in contributing towards a more sustainable world in a bid to transform businesses to drive positive and lasting changes for economies, the environment, and society.
